Fiddle solo, Jim McGinn - piano, Decca 12103. Paddy on the Turnpike was also recorded by Coleman and Morrison. Pipers usually call this tune the Bunch of Keys, often dispensing with the flat notes in the melody. The melody is related to the hornpipes the Groves and the Drunken Sailor, and is found in innumerable New World variants. Michael Gallagher's piping recording of the Collier's may be heard on this site; a recording of flute player John Griffin playing the tune and lilting will be made available soon as well.
